‘Waste Of Our World’

Artists are invited to exhibit pieces of artwork that reflects the consequence of not addressing the exploitation and use of the World’s resources. The artwork may be a piece that explores the issues or is created by using recycled materials. 2D and 3D work welcome.

Exhibition opens Saturday 5th October until Saturday 30th November 2019. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 2.00 – 5.00pm. Preview evening Friday 4th October, 4.00 – 7.00pm

For your work to be included in ‘Waste Of Our World’, please send details of your artwork and how it reflects the theme of the exhibition, size, media and price before Tuesday 3rd September.

Once work has been accepted, the submission deadline is Saturday 21st September. (Very sorry but no work will be accepted after this date). There will be a £5.00 submission fee.

To include as many artists as wish to exhibit, there is a restriction of two medium sized paintings per artist.

June Lornie will be exhibiting her wonderful ‘Alice in Wonderland’ collection at the Rathbone Studio, 28 Argyle Street, Birkenhead.

The exhibition will open on Tuesday 18 June 2025 until Saturday 31 August. Tuesday to Saturday 2.00 – 5.00pm.

The exhibition will feature some original ‘Alice in Wonderland’ pictures and prints created by June, who has been fascinated by the story ever since she was a child when she spent most of her time in hospital. She creates her pictures using bright colours, textures, fabric, gold leaf, in fact anything that glitters, all of which goes back to her Show Business experiences. To these she adds acrylic and pastel to bring the works together in medium which she always call pastiche

The exhibition will also feature ceramic pieces made especially for the exhibition by the Rathbone Studio potters.

Friday 21 June, 4.00pm – 7.00pm there will be a special view evening when visitors can meet June and talk to her about her inspirational artwork.
